Seaweed Wind Wave Energy

The picture shows a construction for harvesting the energy from wind and waves, which also can harvest seaweed by using ropes between the arms.

Design NO 85800 is from 2017, and the total energy production from wind and waves are 50 MW.

Hinged ramps, red at picture, are used to collect water. The seawater is then tapped through
turbines when water flows back to sea.

This kind of wave energy converters are called “overtopping”.

As the construction floats mainly by using air under pressure, cages can be placed under the arms.

The design is suitable for LED lights, which can increase the production of seaweed.
