FLOATING-BRIDGE
Patent No 344547 shows a flexible joint which make it possible to build cheap floating bridges without restriction of length.
Wind and water flow out or in a fjord will make the bridge form a bow, and in this way reduce the tensile forces.
As flexible joints use weights in the water we can select the tension.
As the bow increase the tension increase also and the weight balance the movement.
The flexible joint has max movement of 1 degree, but with one joint at each side the total movement is 2 degree.
Normally only flexible joints are necessary, but if ice or other extreme forces can arise anchor can also be used.
