TURBINE

Kaplan have been a normal turbine in wave energy converters in the category of overtopping.

In 2005 my WEC patent NO 319285 in this category was announced, and as Kaplan is little efficient with low and varied pressure, I wanted to find a more efficient turbine.

From 2005 to 2021 there have been 6 turbine patents with some improvements every time.

The first turbine patent is from 2005, and the next from 2017 and 2018.

The principal is best shown by picture 2 and 3, which shows patent NO 345283 from 2019.

Picture 2 show the house and by mounting the rotor(picture 3), into the house an effective turbine for operation in wave energy converters are made.

Water flows through openings near center of the house, and into the chamber where the flaps on rotor make the rotor turn until water leaves the opening in the house where the block is.

The turbine becomes an engine by use of check valve, and by removing the  check valve it becomes a turbine.
